12. North Atlantic Range.

The Chairman stated that, in consequence of the publication of Sir Alexander Gibb's report on Canadian ports, which contained a reference to the question of "Atlantic Range" of ports for chartering, the Halifax Harbour Commissioners,

the Halifax Board of Trade, and the St. John Board of Trade had written to the Committee suggesting that these two ports should now be included in the North Atlantic Range of chartering ports (see Document North Atlantic Range (1932) No.1). After

Ciscussion it was agreed that a Sub-Committee, consisting of the Chairman and Mr. Harrison Hughes, should be appointed to

deal with the matter in such manner as they saw fit.

13. Broadcasting of Weather Maps.

Consideration of the memorandum (Document Broadcasting of Weather Maps No.2) prepared by the Air Ministry on this

subject was deferred until the next meeting at which it was

hoped that a representative of the Air Ministry would be present.

14. The next meeting was fixed for Friday, 22nd July, 1932,

at 3 p.m.
